Buyer Critiques

This surge protector is compact and comes with only a 4' cord, which makes it handy for me to use in the kitchen (I do not require or want a long cord, and preserve the cord coiled up). This protects my coffee maker, toaster oven, and can opener. It stays flush against the wall in back of these items and out of sight.
Note: This unit does not have an on/off signal light. Yet, the bottom of the unit does have an on/off switch--which I did not know about when the unit arrived. Due to the fact the unit ships with the switch in the off position, at initially I believed the unit was defective when absolutely nothing went on until I found the on/off switch (yet another reviewer had the same encounter). Make certain you turn the switch to the on position. You won't see any signal light, but whatever you plug into the unit should come on.
This is an inexpensive but well produced surge protector appropriate for somewhat inexpensive compact items. I would not trust my computer system, television or stereo technique on this. But for my kitchen appliances it is great.
Update March eight, 2012: I have purchased a couple of extra of these so I have adequate plugs for the chargers for lots of low power items--camera battery, walkie talkies, blue tooth headsets, Slacker G2 player, operating headlamp, etc. This outlet is the best size because it does not take up lots of space. For chargers with big plugs, I just use a white cube accessible at my neighborhood Property Depot that turns one particular outlet into three, and I plug the clunky chargers into the sides of the cube, which is plugged into one of the outlets on this power strip. It functions outstanding.

It is a power strip - it functions and is Plug Play, not costly - what even more could you ask for :P
The product is slightly "Heavy" which I locate best to aid maintain it from quickly turning over on it's side like several other off-brands do. Will decide to purchase once more when I require a further - Belkin delivered a valuable product for my straight forward every day wants.
